Do you have sensitive tooth?

If you have answered yes to most of the above you would have to find a dentists. Finding a top dentists is as simple as calling us or you may want to check the credentials of the dentists online.

Is rebuilding a damaged teeth only solution for Bruxism

One of the option a dentists may propose you is rebuilding teeth damaged by grinding. This may be done using veneers. There may be other treatments as well to address the condition: A night guard, also known as an occlusal splint. This may not only alleviate grinding but, in some cases, train someone to stop grinding altogether.

Fitted in the dentists’s office, a custom guard is usually a clear, hard plastic device that runs over the top or lower teeth from front to back and prevents the top and bottom molars from making contact. (Over-the-counter guards are also available, but these are usually made of softer material and can encourage chewing and exacerbate masseter muscle activity, and so not recommended).

During one of the dentists credentialling process a patient said it was amazing to know the teeth pressure on night guards actually twisted it to a different shape in just two months. I am in a process of getting a new one fitted, although the grinding has reduced substantially, says his wife.

Today the patient wears his splint even during the day. “ I thought it best, since I am a day grinder, but I wear it only at home to avoid embarrassment.” He also listens to music on his iPod to reduce his stress levels.

Quick Tips home tips

If you wake up to jaw pain very often, try warm, wet compresses. Moisten a towelette in warm water, squeeze and press against your aching jaw. This will help to dial down the pain.
One simple way to relax your jaw- and thereby avoid clenching your teeth—during the day is to lightly press your tongue to the roof of your mouth.

Its always best to take an advice from a dentists for all these issues. In case you are finding a dentists in your area whether it be a dentists in San Deigo or dentists in Los angeles or newyork we could help you out by choosing the right dentists with right accolades.
