Sedation Dentistry refers to the process which is used to provide a relaxed, easy and calm state with the use of sedatives.Sedatives can be provided via injection into the blood vessel of the hand or arm or by oral medicine. It is often used for those procedures which require an extensive amount of time in the treatment chair. Also it works well for patients who have dental phobia or have difficulty in controlling their movements(including children). While sedation dentistry is applied patients are in sleep like state so that little pain is felt or remembered from the dental procedures.
