Rolling Meadows Cosmetic Dentist, Dr. Michael Errico is committed to the excellence in dentistry. He is working towards his fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry and in the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is a graduate of the prestigious Horn brook Group Academy for Advanced Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry, and currently writes an informative article in the Daily Herald.
He is a graduate of Loyola University and completed his dental education in 1989 from Loyola School of Dentistry and joined his father's dental practice, which was established in 1962. Dr. Michael believes in creating a passion for dentistry by empowering his patients with as much information and technology that is available. He also has been active in the study of implant with the Nobel Biocare system. Dr. Michael Errico has had the privilege of working closely with Dr. Nicholas Amigoni, who has been teaching and lecturing for Nobel Bio care in the United States and in Europe. Dr. Michael Errico is deeply committed to his faith and is a member of the Lumen Cordium Society of the Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago. As a father of 2 girls and a husband, Dr. Michael Errico believes that it is important to embrace the traditions and family values, which his Italian culture has blessed him with. Just continuing his education, keeping up on courses with new materials and new techniques that might be out there. The best recommendation for him would be to continue doing in the future what he has been doing in the past.

Actually I have already sent my daughter to him and I go him.

He is always doing continuing education, always putting new technology in his office, as soon as they are tested. He is a pretty good go getter; there is pretty much nothing that I could suggest. What did you have done?

Just basic work and then I had several things done as in cleaning, bridges, and all that.

Can you tell me more about your story, why you chose Dr. Errico, and if there is anything about him that is noteworthy?

I don’t think I chose Dr Errico because he explains everything to me but he is very particular about his staff too. You not only feel welcome when you are coming to the office, but you also feel a valuable part of the family. Everybody cares about you and that’s exactly what they are great at. One of the biggest things is that his surrounding staff is good; it’s great for the dentist’s office. He has a very intelligent staff. I don’t know whether they go to schooling or what but they all know their job and also how to interact with the people. He is very meticulous about his work. I actually call him a perfectionist a lot of the time because, if there is a problem with somebody’s mouth, he continually takes the time to explain the problem to the patient. He is so intelligent, and he uses a lot of big words to explain everything to you so that you can understand what he is talking about.

I don’t know how it can get any better; it’s pretty nice going there. You know no one wants to go to a dentist, but if you have to go to a dentist, that’s the one you want to go to.

See…this is hard, I would like to rate a lot of things in this category which he does as a 10. He is so caring, he goes out of his way to make you comfortable and relax.

Because of the fact that he continually goes to school makes you aware that he is continuously encompassing something new and you know you are going to get the best. You are not worried about him and quality. He has something for whatever the patient needs.

I don’t know how to put this in 1 to 10; I would say 9 or 10. He does what I need, and if there is a problem he fixes it. Not only does he fix the problem, but he is also very involved in the daily care of his dental office. He will explain to you what you need to do if you have this and that. He will even tell you what brush and toothpaste you should use. It’s not only care inside but he also tells you what to do on the outside so that you can maintain your teeth.

It’s like walking into a family because I have known him and some of his staff for so long. You are greeted. They are just good people.

They are wonderful. I am sure that he really thinks about who he hires. All of them are very courteous to the patients, they make you feel at home, comfortable and sometimes they make you feel like that you are the only one who goes there. You just feel special.

His continuous education, having different dentists from different backgrounds, and everything else he does makes him beyond 10. He knows exactly what he is doing and he also knows where and how to guide you if you need anything else done.

They are perfect; he is a perfectionist. He doesn’t care if it’s a front or back tooth, he just wants to see that it looks good and smooth.

If there is any problem flossing, they will tell you how to do it. They are actually not comfortable until you are comfortable.

All I can tell you is that when there is a plan of numerous things to be done, he will take the most crucial and go from there. He will discuss everything with you too. There is a member of his staff, Debbie, who will sit down and will talk to you about anything. They are so wonderful with people.

My family, friends and everyone; I always tell whoever needs a dentist that go to Dr Errico. I will also tell you to go to him.

What did you have done?

He has been my dentist for 10-15 years. 5 years ago I went for relative maintenance and had a cosmetic dental surgery done. He replaced almost all of my teeth. Crowns, bridges and implants: everything.

Can you tell me more about your story, why you chose Dr. Errico, and if there is anything about him that is noteworthy?

He was recommended by a friend at the time; I am not sure if that friend had work done by him, but he referred me to him [Dr. Errico]. I was new to the area and I needed a dentist, so I asked someone. He said that I should check out Dr Errico, which I did. It was a referral from my friend. He develops a great rapport with his patients. I am divorced, but my wife and my kids use him as well. He is very approachable and friendly. Even if I am not seeing him on that day he will phone me and see how things are. I am one of his case studies; I had a picture up on his wall that he shows his patients. He is a great guy because of whom I receive a lot of compliments. I like him a lot personally, and also as a dentist.

The office is very well run; they are great about both mail and phone reminders for the visits. They are Very flexible about scheduling and very accommodating. Billing and everything is done very clean. I go to them for my cleaning every six months.

I would recommend anybody to him; I do it all the time. I have actually referred many people to him.

For his own success, I would love to see him to grow his practice because sometimes he becomes less approachable and less time for patients. I think he’s got a pretty good balance of practice and approachability. He needs to groom up his replacement. I would love to see him growing up a prodigy who could replace himself.

He was actually recommended by a friend. I was speaking to my friend about how to choose my dentist, and that’s how the conversation came up that Dr Errico is a young guy who is very involved in continuing education. You can see everything at his office like all the equipments that he uses; it seems to be a very state-of-the-art facility. That’s how I had an introduction with him.

What did you have done?

Oh, he has done everything, from root canal, implants, crowns … you name and I had it. I go for a cleaning every three months.

Can you tell me more about your story, why you chose Dr. Errico, and if there is anything about him that is noteworthy?

I moved here and I asked someone in my office, who should I get as a dentist? They said go try this guy. It was the Errico’s office and Michael was awesome. I know Michael just got out of the school when I got him, so he had not been a dentist for a long time when I got him. The thing which is so unique about Michael is the fact that he treats your teeth like his teeth, and he treats everybody who walks in the door like family. When you walk in it’s not getting in the chair to get your teeth cleaned or work done. It’s truly to find out how you doing; are you healthy, do you have any problems, and he makes it a point to have a personal conversation with you. I think that is exceptional because that personal touch is what brings people back and that’s what I like in Michael. For me it is not easy, I live in downtown Chicago and you might know that Michael’s office is in a northwest suburb. I have never even thought about going to another dentist even in the city; which there are probably three in my neighborhood. I don’t even consider going to them. It just wouldn’t happen.

His dentistry is exceptional; let me give you an example of that. Do you know…when Michael did a crown - I will never forget him doing this. We went outside in the front so he could see how that crown looked with the rest of my teeth to ensure that there was no uniqueness about the crown from the rest of my teeth. I will never forget the day when he took me into the sun to take a look at how it looks when I smile in the front. He may not even remember that because it was several years ago, but that always stuck with me.

I am sorry man, he is so thorough, I can’t really find anything to recommend. He checks the old work, he checks the new work. He knows your mouth. I remember once one of his hygienist was doing something and he came in saying, “Oh no, no, no don’t do this, you need to do this, this and this.” He knows what works for you. I think he customizes things. If I can say anything I would say, do not lose that personal touch of customization because that’s why people like him. I known him long enough and he always says; how is the house going? You get this done etc, he checks you as an individual. It’s not just getting dental work done and getting out of the door.

The only thing that I would add is that I know popularity breeds more patients but I want to remind him to keep doing what he does and how he does it because that’s why he gets returning patients. Some people get too big for what they are doing. I would just encourage him to not allow that to happen to him. And to always do checks, to ask how I am doing; the same things I did five years ago or ten years ago. That actually helps the person. He is on the top of what he knows in dentistry; I feel really good about Dr Errico. It’s very updated, cutting edge, and modern dentistry that he does.

I enjoy all aspects of dentistry and I feel that being able to coordinate and deliver treatment plans, which may include all disciplines of dentistry, is what defines the modern dentist. It is what gives me the edge over the dentist down the street.

The approach to the delivery of dentistry that I subscribe to is comprehensive. I have been trained in all aspects of dentistry and my office can take care of anything from a 4 year old’s first checkup, to full mouth rehabilitation case. Being a graduate of the Hornbrook Group, studying for my Fellowship in the AGD, and my accreditation in the AACD have exposed me to techniques and technology that have made it possible for me to treatment plan the most complex cases.

It is hard for me to self promote. I would rather have my office, staff, education and credentialing speak for themselves.
