About Dr. Scott Wagner
Jacksonville Cosmetic Dentist, Dr. Wagner was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida, and is a proud Gator fan. Outside of the office, his favorite pursuits are golf, surfing, and music. He is an accomplished guitarist and singer. He calls himself a “waterman”, as he loves surfing, wakeboarding, snowboarding, water skiing, scuba diving, windsurfing, and fishing. He believes that “play” allows him to balance the intensity of work and study so that he can be a better dentist. “Work hard and play hard” are words that you will hear him say, and it reflects his passion for life.
Dr. Wagner received his B.S. in Biology in 1994 after attending Wake Forest University and Florida State University. In 1998, he graduated with Honors from the University Of Florida College Of Dentistry with a top five ranking in his class of 80. As a result, he was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.
Since graduating from dental school, Dr. Wagner has made it a point to stay at the forefront of dentistry. Because the art and science of dentistry is changing so rapidly, he has committed to taking over 100 hours of continuing education courses each year to provide his patients with the latest in advanced dental techniques. He feels privileged to have studied under some of the leaders in dentistry today (e.g. Peter Dawson, Frank Spears, John Kois). In December of 2003, Dr. Wagner made a commitment to participate in the world-renowned Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI) (www.lvilive.com). Under the guidance of Dr.’s Bill Dickerson, Mike Miyasaki, Clayton Chan, Norm Thomas, Heidi Dickerson, and Norman Thomas, he has learned the most advanced state-of-the-art cosmetic and restorative techniques available today.
In order to provide his patients with some of the best “high-tech tools” available today, Dr. Wagner has equipped his office with advanced dental technology. He believes that these advantages create an exceptional experience for his patients and fulfill his fundamental desire to bring the best possible care to his patients.
Dr. Wagner met the woman of his dreams, Kate, in 2005 and married her on March 18th, 2006 on the beach at Hanna Park in Jacksonville, FL. They did not wait long to start building a family, as their son, Austin, was born in March of 2007, and Amelia Anne was born in July of 2008! Two beautiful children to go along with two beautiful pet Weimereiners has made a complete family that they feel blessed to have.

| I can tell you that he places his utmost confidence in this laboratory. That he employs detailed communication skills; he is willing to meet one-on-one even though our offices are far apart. Dr. Wagner is a dentist who loves his work and is perfecting (what I like to call) the triangle between the patient, doctor, and the laboratory. Just the fact that he is so open has given me greater understanding and appreciation for his mentorship. I value what I have learned from him and visa versa. He is very open to what I know, what my skills are, and what my strength are, as I am to his; sharing that is kind of uncommon. |

| I think it’s a given that Dr. Wagner will become even better. In my dealings with him I have never felt that he has an inflated ego; he isn’t afraid to admit that he doesn’t have all the answers and constantly educates himself. He realizes that growth is a fundamental part of a thriving practice. If you ask him where he is, as far as his potential and skills, he will never say that he has maximized his growth ability. Dr. Wagner realizes that, because there are continuous changes in dentistry, he constantly needs to educate himself and thrive. I admire anybody with that kind of attitude. When egos get in the way of the work, because of the prestige one might gain, one’s growth becomes inhabited and limited. Scott does not know it all, and he knows that, and that’s what makes him a great dentist. He will always aspire to learn what he doesn’t know. |

| I had neuromuscular dentistry performed on me due to my migraine headache. He basically redid all my teeth; full mouth rejuvenation with crowns, veneers. He has really helped my migraines. |

| I’ve probably known him for ten years. He took over the practice of the dentist I was seeing before him and I stayed because it was convenient. I liked him right away. He seemed knowledgeable and as the years went on, I was very happy that I chose to have him perform my dental work. He is honest, straight forward, and trustworthy. I would never let anyone work on my teeth if I didn’t trust them. Over the years I have grown to trust his opinion more and more because he always does right by me. That’s why I continue to go to him; if I ever have a problem with my teeth, he takes care of me right away. I never have to wait, even if it’s his day off or an emergency. He always finds time to see me and is very accessible. I think trust plays an important role; I trust him to take care of me. |
